Young people in church

Each Sunday during the 10.30 a.m. worship we have groups that meet in church for young people of all ages.  The aims of these groups is to teach young people about Christianity and to equip them for living out their faith in today’s secular society.  We look forward to welcoming newcomers.

We have an established Carer and Toddler group called Safe Hill, after the ancient name for the area in which St Helen's stands.  This meets weekly on Wednesday mornings and has proved a much-needed facility in the locality.  The Good Friday Club has two sections, providing for 7 -11 year olds and 11 - 14 year olds respectively.  Both groups meet weekly on Friday evenings in the charge of trained youth leaders.  (See the Regular Activities page for details.)

Child Protection

The church has a clearly defined child protection policy in accordance with best practice.  Miss Joan Beckett is currently Child Protection Coordinator for St Helen's.
