Our Mission Statement: "To know God and worship Him joyfully, sharing his love with our community and helping us all to grow closer to Him."

 

St Helen’s sees its mission as an evangelical community church.  It thus seeks to show forth the love of Jesus in practical ways within the local community, whilst encouraging the development of an understanding of the gospel.  The ministry in local nursing homes, the successful youth club and the involvement with local schools are all testimony to this, whilst encouragement to worship and to discover more of the Christian faith is engaged through special services including Memorial services, the Remembrance service, Christingle services and others.  Within the Parish of Selston-with-Westwood, St Helen's works in partnership with St Mary's, Westwood, which serves the villages of Jacksdale and Westwood lying a little over a mile to the south-west of Selston.
