Diocesan Church History Project
The project was established in 1998 as a joint research project between the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham and the University of Nottingham, with the objective of establishing an accurate historical and archaeological record of all churches in the diocese. In 2008 however the project was awarded Heritage Lottery Funding, enabling the profject to expand into both tourism and education. By 2013 the project was in its final stages.
